Dr. Sal Taiym
DDSDr. Sal Taiym attended high school and college in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in December of 1999. He then attended Baylor College of Dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in May of 2004. Dr. Taiym then went on and received 5 months of additional training in Oral Surgery in Newark, New Jersey. In June of 2005 Dr. Taiym started his General Practice Residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he received a certificate of completion in Hospital Dentistry.
Dr. Taiym returned back to Baylor to complete a 2 year post-graduate certificate program in Pediatric Dentistry. The residency consisted of rotations through Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Baylor College of Dentistry and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
Dr. Sal Taiym has a passion and love for pediatric dentistry. His key area of focus at Jupiter Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics - Pediatric Dentist Allen is the prevention and treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing in the pediatric patient.
He has been on staff at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Plano since 2006
Dr. Taiym has also completed his board certification in Pediatric Dentistry, and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. Board certified pediatric dentists, in addition to attending two years of additional training in pediatric dentistry, must also pass a written examination and then an oral examination. They must then maintain an active status in good standing with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sal Taiym calls the Allen, Plano and Mckinney area home. You will often see him walking around the Watters Creek area in Allen with his wife Dr. Elizabeth Kamali and their two beautiful daughters Layla and Elina. He also enjoys the outdoors, reading, and basketball (Go Spurs Go), but don’t worry he still loves his Dallas Mavericks.
