


Dr. Sal Taiym
DDSDr. Sal Taiym is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist who has been caring for children and their smiles for more than 20 years. He believes every child deserves a positive dental experience and is passionate about helping children feel comfortable, confident, and excited about visiting the dentist. His gentle, conservative approach focuses on prevention, education, and building healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Taiym earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004. He then completed 5 additional months of advanced training in Oral Surgery in Newark, New Jersey, followed by a General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Committed to providing the highest level of specialized care for children, Dr. Taiym returned to Baylor College of Dentistry to complete a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry. His training included Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Baylor College of Dentistry, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, where he gained extensive experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and children with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Taiym is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a distinction earned through advanced specialty training and successful completion of comprehensive written and oral examinations. He has also served on the medical staff at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Plano since 2006 and remains dedicated to continuing education to ensure his patients receive the most current, evidence-based care.
Whether caring for a toddler’s very first visit, helping an anxious child overcome dental fears, or restoring a healthy smile, Dr. Taiym’s goal is always the same—to treat every child with the same compassion and attention he would want for his own family.
Outside the office, Dr. Taiym enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Kamali, and their two daughters, Layla and Elina. When he’s not with patients or family, you’ll often find him reading, enjoying the outdoors, or watching basketball.
