Early Intervention Non-Extraction Orthodontics
What Are The Goals Of Early Intervention?
Prevent extractions of permanent teeth.
Prevent impaction of upper eye teeth (Canines).
Develop the upper and lower jaws to create enough room to allow the permanent teeth to erupt properly.
Align the upper and lower jaws.
Encourage proper habits and tongue placement.
Help alleviate symptoms of Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) through early intervention and proper specialist referrals.
Encourage proper growth of the developing TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) to help prevent future TMJ issues.

What Are Some Of The Ways We Can Correct Early Orthodontic / Dentofacial Orthopedic Problems?
We use a combination of different methods to achieve a final great result
Some of the more common examples are:
Expanders
Conventional braces- Once we create space by developing the upper and lower jaws, we typically place conventional braces to align the teeth to their ideal positions.
Myofunctional retainers such as Myobrace® to promote proper jaw growth and prevent future relapse.
Compassionate and fun approach. Since Dr. Taiym is a trained pediatric dentist, and our focus is on early intervention, we provide the best possible experience for our pediatric patients.
